Lunch: 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. (*Please Bring a Lunch with You*)
Campus Tour: 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Open Forum: 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Our clinic will allow you to work on a single defensive position and hitting:
Pitching we will provide specific instructions on pitching for all levels. Each player will walk away from the clinic with a concrete understanding of the fundamentals and what she needs to practice to become a great pitcher. All pitchers MUST bring their own catcher that is not participating in the clinic. The catcher can be a mother, a father, a sister, a brother, a teammate, etc.
Infield we will cover the specifics of glove work, footwork and fundamentals necessary to play the middle infield and the corners at all levels of fastpitch softball.
Outfield we will cover specifics on glove work and footwork, angles, and situational defensive play. Athletes will learn that playing the outfield is an art within itself - one of the most important positions on the field - the last line of defense for your team!
Catching we will cover all fundamentals relating to the position not limited to, but including: blocking, framing, throwing fundamentals, working with pitchers, pitch calling, working with umpires, and situational defensive play. Please provide your own catcher's gear.
Hitting will focus on basic fundamentals of the swing. We will introduce multiple drills to learn and perfect the swing. No matter your age or ability, this clinic will address your needs.
IMPORTANT CLINIC INFORMATION:
TO REGISTER COMPLETE REGISTRATION FORM AND MEDICAL WAIVER: Please print and fill out the bottom part of registration form and the medical waiver. Mail it back with your check made payable to UC REGENTS. Mailing address is on the registration form.
WHAT TO BRING: Batting helmet, batting gloves, bat, sweats, kneepads, athletic clothing, cleats or turf shoes, visor or hat, water bottle, lunch, and something to drink.
PLEASE NOTE: Pitchers should bring their own catchers (or a person to catch) to the pitching sessions (no charge for catchers). Also, please make sure you bring a lunch. There will not be any time for players to leave to get food.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS: No refunds will be issued after Monday, November 8, 2010. If a participant leaves due to illness, injury, family emergency, or homesickness, the clinic fee is non-refundable.

Nike Summer Softball Camp

Nike Softball Camp instructor and Head Softball Coach LeeAnn Taylor. Coming off her sixth season as the Head Softball Coach at San Diego City College and entering her 14th in the 2010 season at the collegiate level. Joining LeeAnn on staff will be Cheryl Schaefer, interim Head Softball Coach at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego.
USD Softball Summer Camps
Advance High School Softball Camp is for players that are ready to test their best skills, study the game in-depth, and learn more advanced techniques of softball. Dates: July 19-22, 2010
Camp is available for girls ages 13-18
I look forward to having you join us this summer for a special softball experience. Our staff will teach you what it takes to be a winner on the field, as well as off! You will meet new friends, experience campus life, enjoy our outstanding facilities at USD and have a fun filled time!
